I started with an idea of what I wanted this maze to look like. I knew I wanted it to be round. Above is what I wanted it to look like at first. Not the greatest drawing, but as you can see I wanted the maze itself to be round and I quickly found out that would not be easy for me.
I went into inventor first and created 3 sketches that would eventually be my final maze. I made the back layer first, then the a second layer had the general shape, and the third was the maze part.
After I had finished the general sketch of what it would look like and I got all the dimensions right, it was time to extrude.
To the right is the photo of what the extruding process looked like. I had to make sure the depth or thickness was right so if I ever cut it out it would be the right thickness as the material used.
I really enjoyed making this maze. I was able to use the skills I have learned all semester using inventor, and also what I learned with the brake bracket. Like I said before I wanted to have the maze be round as well, but I learned that it would be much harder than what I had time for. So I went with a more simple maze but I still liked the overall look. I only wish we had time to actually cut it out, because I thought it would be cool to see it and use it.
